Children in Years 5 and 6 were invited to take part in the ‘Carton di Wiart History Competition’ at The Oratory School. The competition is named after an Old Oratorian pupil and Victoria Cross recipient and pupils are invited to submit a piece of work about their chosen history event; a select few are then put forward to be judged.
This year, our representatives at the ‘Winner’s Day’ event were Edward, Melissa and Charlotte and we are thrilled to say that The Manor was announced as the overall school winner
During the course of the day, Edward, Melissa and Charlotte also attended a fascinating talk given by Ladies Real Tennis World Champion and Head of Racquets at The Oratory, Mrs Fahey. They were also lucky enough to meet her afterwards!
Congratulations to all that took part!
